The APR Closed Carbon Fiber Intake System is an attractive, high-performance upgrade designed to increase performance by letting the engine breathe more freely. Performance is optimized by improving mass airflow through the system, while also adequately filtering the incoming air. The system provides a direct airflow path through the system to the filter, and removes the rubber inlet snorkel, which has been known to collapse under load, and devastate power deliver. Expect increased horsepower, torque, sharper throttle response, enhanced fuel economy, enhanced engine sound, lower intake air temperature (IAT) and a more attractive engine bay! Lastly, 3.0T Supercharged engine customers can take advantage of a larger rear charger inlet pipe, which maximizes mass airflow, and removes a factory sound dampening resonator.
Power Gains
Using the upgraded air box alone, the 3.0T engine picked up 11 AWHP, and 15 AWHP when adding the rear inlet pipe. This was achieved at only Stage 1 power levels. As airflow requirements increase, so does the potential for more power. Likewise, on the 4.2L FSI V8 we measured 10 HP through the rev range on an otherwise stock vehicle.
APR Exhaust – Catback System – MK7 Golf R
The APR Catback Exhaust System personalizes your vehicle's looks, sound and performance. Beautifully hand-crafted T304-stainless-steel components adorn the system with stunning TIG-welding throughout. Our straight-through brushed-finished mufflers smooth the exhaust note to a deep growl, without adding restrictions, while our Helmholtz resonator reduces unwanted frequencies. Strong high-quality bracketry and OEM-style clamps hold the system steadily in place, making the install or removal a snap, and fitment simple, yet precise. A cast 3" to quad 2.5" rear splitter creates an ultra-smooth transition, steadily feeding exhaust gasses out of the system, while looking tidy from under the rear bumper. Our cast valve housings enable the vehicle to be fitted with the factory electronic valve actuators, retaining OEM valve operation. Finally, removable 4" polished slash-cut exhaust tips finish the system, adding a classy motorsport-inspired touch to the rear of the vehicle.

This die cut vinyl design was created in house for use on APR's fleet of employee and R&D vehicles and is now available to the public. Each set includes a passenger and driver side decal that is intentionally longer than necessary to allow fitment on nearly all vehicles after trimming. Simply choose the color combination that works best with the vehicle's paint scheme and enjoy!

Carbon Fibre Turbo Inlet Pipe
APR's Carbon Fibre Turbo Inlet Pipe is designed for 1.8T/2.0T EA888 Gen 3 MQB engines. You should replace your rear factory plastic accordion tube with this attractive carbon fibre inlet pipe. When installed, it will complement the APR Carbon Fibre Intake System's aesthetically pleasing design.
After installation, your intake and inlet hose will be joined via a necessary flex coupler. When your engine movement moves, this inlet pipe will prevent damaging the intake. This turbo inlet pipe is completely compatible with all factory turbochargers and APR's Stage III Turbocharger System, a very desirable upgrade.

APR Badge
APR is pleased to present APR Badges for all customers modified with APR's different stages of performance enhancements. Proudly display your APR car's performance stage with the customizable APR badge. OEM style domed and polished chrome letters make the badge appear as if it was installed right on the VAG assembly line. The large and small APR badge includes the Letters A, P, R, a red and black 'Stage' flag, three chrome 'Stage' Roman numerals and one red and black 'Plus Stage' hash mark. Arrange the roman numerals to list your current stage (Stage I, I+, II, II+, III or III+). The A, P & R letters are roughly 25mm tall by 48mm wide.
APR K04-64 Turbo System – 2.0T Longitudinal – B7, B8 and B8.5 A4/A5
The APR K04 Turbocharger System is a drop in turbo upgrade that dramatically increases power. With this upgrade and accompanying software, expect power similar to a heavily tuned Golf R, S3, TT-S, and other high end vehicles, as the K04 comes standard on those vehicles. Transient response is lightning fast with minimal lag. Power comes on quick, and stays strong through the entire powerband. Best of all, the system is designed as a budget upgrade compared to larger turbocharger systems, and only requires minimal hardware, most of which is available to APR Stage 2 customers.
Turbocharger:
APR uses Genuine Borg Warner components. The heart of the system is a Borg Warner K04-64. The CNC-machined billet compressor wheel and stainless steel exhaust manifold are a substantial leap in technology, performance, and reliability over the factory unit. Unlike the off the shelf K04-64 unit, APR's unit is customized. We integrated the DV into the compressor cover, just like the factory turbo it replaces. In doing so, clutter and complexity is removed. The DV mounts to the turbo, eliminating several potential boost leak points. It's a simple and clean install. With many thousands of these units sold for more than a decade, we can confidently say these turbos are powerful, and reliable.
Install hardware:
We don't cut any corners with this system. All gaskets, nuts, bolts, washers, studs, and one time use clamps are included with this upgrade, making install as headache free as possible.
