The S3 APR Catback Exhaust System will personalizes your Audi's looks, sound and performance. This system is valveless and beautifully hand-crafted.
Our stainless-steel piping releases an unrestricted aggressive growl. Unwanted frequencies are reduced with our Helmholtz resonator. Strong high-quality bracketry and OEM-style clamps hold the system steadily in place, making the install or removal a snap, and fitment simple, yet precise. A cast 3" to quad 2.5" rear splitter creates an ultra-smooth transition, steadily feeding exhaust gasses out of the system while looking tidy from under the rear bumper.
Lastly removable 4" polished slash-cut exhaust tips finish the system, adding a classy motorsport-inspired touch to the rear of the vehicle. For the more track-minded enthusiasts where weight, sound and price point all are highly desired metrics, the APR Valveless system is the desired configuration. In this configuration the axle-back portion of the exhaust has the mufflers and valves removed. Weight drops considerably and the system becomes more aggressive. The system is louder and more aggressive, but thanks to the centre Helmholtz chamber, drone is reduced, giving a more pleasant, yet aggressive driving experience. However, when upgrading other exhaust components, the system transforms and becomes unapologetically raw with maximum aggression - A true track enthusiast's dream.

Included Pads High-Performance Street Pads Details:
Specifically designed for use in high-performance street applications and one of the best high-performance street pads on the world market at the moment. This compound beds-in quickly and delivers strong brake performance over a wide temperature range. The material exhibits a strong initial bite as you engage the brake pedal followed by a slightly rising torque curve during a single brake application. This slight rise in brake torque in the mid-late stages of a brake application makes use of the additional front tire grip available after weight transfer has occurred during a typical (medium-hard) brake application. This delivers optimal stopping distances when tested on street cars running high-performance street tires. The compound features a high average friction co-efficient and delivers reduced stopping distances as well as improved fade resistance when compared to most OEM and aftermarket high-performance street pads.

APR Brakes – Replacement Pads – Advanced Street / Entry-Level Track Day

This compound will offer similar characteristics to our High-performance Street compound in terms of having a slightly rising torque curve during a single application. It will offer a little less initial bite as you engage the brake pedal under normal street driving conditions. This material also takes a little longer to bed in and prefers to be run at slightly higher operating temperatures in order to maintain the friction film that is put down on the disc surface during the bed-in procedure. This material can be run to higher max operating temperatures than our standard High-Performance Street compound while remaining fade-free. The additional heat range means that this compound can be used for entry-level track days. This makes this material a good choice for customers that would like to take part in occasional track days but do not want to change pads prior to these events.

APR High Pressure Fuel Pumps – R8

The APR High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) dramatically increases the maximum volume of fuel the HPFP can deliver. In doing so, the direct injection fueling system is capable of satisfying fueling requirements set forth by high horsepower setups. This is accomplished by increasing the displacement of the pump using high quality components to exacting tolerances.
How the direct injection system works:
A low pressure fuel pump (LPFP) in the fuel tank delivers fuel to the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) at roughly 4 to 6 bar. Fuel pressure is then bumped up to a maximum of 136 bar, depending on factory parts, with the HPFP. Finally, high pressure fuel is delivered to the injectors, which spray directly into the cylinders.
The problem:
The volume of fuel the HPFP pump can displace is directly tied to the displacement of the pump (Internal bore size, and camshaft dictated stroke), and engine speed. The pump is driven off of a camshaft. Upgraded supercharger and turbocharger systems are capable of taxing this system, especially in the mid to lower RPM range where fuel volume is lower.
The APR solution:
We dramatically increase the volume of fuel the HPFP can displace at every RPM by increasing the displacement of the HPFP. This is accomplished by increasing the bore diameter of the pump’s internal pressurizing cylinder. It’s important to understand, despite the name, a HPFP upgrade is not necessary designed to increase the engine’s fuel rail pressure. The primary goal is to increase the volume of fuel available, which will keep fuel pressure steady even in the most demanding of situations!
High quality components and extreme tolerances:
The HPFP internals must be machined to extreme tolerances and installed in a clean environment or the pump can easily fail. Dimensional tolerances on the APR HPFP are as tight as .00004″ and geometric tolerances are as tight as .00005″. The plunger and barrel are created from certified and heat-treated bearing-grade stainless steel and the plunger undergoes a special diamond like coating process for exceptional surfaces hardness and ultra-reliable operation. To prevent float associated with altering the plunger’s mass, APR supplies each unit with a properly specified spring. All internal seals are replaced, including the spring seal, and the tip of the pump retains the factory pivoting head to reduce cam follower wear and piston side loading.
Internal testing:
All APR HPFPs are assembled in house under strict assembly guidelines. Each pump is then tested on our test rig to ensure the pumps operate as designed. This step is important for several reasons. It’s critical in determining if a pump has a failure from incorrect install, a leaking seal, or a bad solenoid. Secondly, a seized pump on the vehicle at startup can cause damage to the engine’s camshaft. By testing each pump, we all but eliminate these possibility.
Proven track record:
APR pioneered HPFP upgrades in the early days of VAG direct injection engines. Soon after, APR became an OEM supplier of HPFP and GDI components to VAG for use in various race cars, racing series, project cars, and concept vehicles. The APR HPFP has been at the center of countless motorsport victories across the globe and has operated with a nearly perfect tract record since the program’s motorsport backed inception in 2006. With tens of thousands of pumps sold, APR has a wealth of knowledge, and manufacturing expertise necessary to deliver a product that will and has stood the test of time.
